The learner will demonstrate an understanding of nature conservation issues, and how they relate to society as a whole

Assist with the protection of the reserve and its natural environment
resources which will include a range of activities for example- nature conservation patrols; warn visitors on unauthorized actions within the reserves and report non-compliance; assist with access control; etc…

SP: Field Ranger Law Enforcement (Unarmed) – Cathsseta Accredited
The learner will also be in a position to lead and mentor other learners in the attainment of management objectives in the context of the law enforcement and operational aspects of managing and maintaining the integrity within a conserved area

The learner will gain the ability to guard and save human lives in an aquatic environment

The learner will learn to conduct tours on a selected site with an overview of South Africa and its history

The learner will be able to create and conduct a local guided tourist experience, based on predominantly natural resources, that entertains and informs visitors. The learner will be able to create and conduct short local tours with an emphasis on the natural environment resources
